By accessing or using The Gentle Reset Companion App, you agree to these Terms of Use.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Companion App.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.

The Companion App is provided for personal, lawful and non-commercial use.

The Companion App is currently intended for adults aged 18 years and over. You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase, create an account for, or use the Companion App.

If we reasonably become aware that an account holder is under 18, we may suspend or terminate that account where appropriate, subject to applicable law.

Access may require a qualifying purchase, creation of an account, verification of your email address and successful matching of that account to an active purchase entitlement.

You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials private.

Do not share, sell or transfer account access to another person.

A Companion App purchase provides personal access to the service while the Companion App is operated and made available by The Gentle Reset, subject to these Terms.

A one-off purchase does not mean that the Companion App, its hosting infrastructure, third-party services or every feature will remain available forever.

No representation of “lifetime”, permanent or perpetual service availability is made unless The Gentle Reset expressly states otherwise in writing.

Unless otherwise stated, the Companion App and its original text, designs, branding, workbooks, prompts, affirmations, graphics and other content are owned by or licensed to The Gentle Reset.

Your purchase gives you a personal right to use the supplied content. It does not transfer ownership of intellectual property.

You must not reproduce, resell, redistribute, publish, commercially exploit or make the Companion App or its protected content available to others without permission, except where permitted by law.

You must not use the Companion App unlawfully or attempt to interfere with its security or operation.

You must not attempt to bypass access controls, obtain unauthorised access to another person's account, probe protected infrastructure, distribute protected workbook links or use automated systems to extract substantial parts of the app or its content.

The Gentle Reset aims to keep the Companion App available and operating reliably, but uninterrupted or permanent availability cannot be guaranteed.

The app depends on third-party services for functions including hosting, authentication, payment processing, email delivery, database services and protected file delivery.

We may reasonably modify, replace, suspend or discontinue a feature or the Companion App as a whole where necessary because of technical, security, legal, supplier, platform, financial or operational circumstances.

The Companion App may also be discontinued if The Gentle Reset ceases operating, the business closes, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control make continued operation impracticable.

If the Companion App is permanently discontinued, account access, hosted functions and protected resource delivery through the app may cease.

There is no obligation to maintain or continue paying for third-party hosting, storage, authentication, email, payment or other infrastructure indefinitely after the Companion App or business has been discontinued.

Purchase of the Companion App is not a guarantee of lifetime, perpetual or uninterrupted access.

Nothing in this section removes any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If applicable law requires a remedy in particular circumstances, those legal rights continue to apply.

Where a remedy is required in relation to the Companion App as a service, it will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer law. Where permitted by law and relevant to the circumstances, the period and value of service already supplied and successfully used may be taken into account. A remedy does not necessarily require repayment of the full original purchase price where the law provides for a refund of an unused portion or compensation for reduced value.

From time to time, access to the Companion App may need to be temporarily suspended while The Gentle Reset investigates or repairs a technical, security, supplier or operational problem, or performs necessary maintenance.

Where reasonably practicable, The Gentle Reset will work to restore affected services within a reasonable time and may temporarily pause new sales while a significant issue is being resolved.

A temporary interruption does not by itself mean that the Companion App has been permanently discontinued.

If a problem cannot be rectified within a reasonable time, or otherwise gives rise to a right or remedy under applicable consumer law, those rights and remedies continue to apply.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users, where an account is being used unlawfully or in serious breach of these Terms, or where a purchase has been validly cancelled or refunded.

Where reasonably possible, we will act proportionately to the issue.

The Companion App provides general self-guided wellbeing and educational content. It is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis, medical treatment, crisis support or a substitute for professional advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Gentle Reset is not responsible for indirect loss arising from use of general self-guided content or from outages and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies liability, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Queensland, Australia, together with applicable Commonwealth laws.

We may update these Terms when reasonably necessary to reflect changes to the Companion App, its services, legal requirements or business operations. The current version displayed in the app applies from its stated Last Updated date.
